📋 Description

• Lead analysis of supplier performance and deploy strategies to improve quality performance, escapes, and PPM • Lead focused initiatives addressing major quality-impact areas across the supplier base • Lead the enterprise Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) strategy for suppliers • Oversee technical quality staff providing supplier support, on-site engagement, coaching, and resolution of complex technical issues • Direct work transfer planning and execution from a quality and process-readiness perspective • Establish and maintain standard RCCA processes, training materials, and performance metrics • Partner with Supplier Quality, Operations, Engineering, and Program leadership to resolve systemic supplier challenges • Analyze supplier performance data, identify trends, eliminate root causes, and inform strategic quality initiatives • Build relationships with critical suppliers and elevate their problem-solving capabilities • Lead cross-functional investigations for high-impact escapes and coordinate corrective action plans and executive briefings • Manage and develop RCCA specialists, quality engineers, and technical staff • Support supplier readiness for new product introduction, rate increases, and major transitions • Drive consistent application of quality standards, methods, and tools • Provide updates to the Executive Director of Supplier Assurance and senior leadership • Travel to supplier locations as needed, up to 75% of the time

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and minimum of fourteen (14) years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum of twelve (12) years’ experience • Relevant experience in supplier quality, manufacturing engineering, operations, or other engineering fields • 14 years of expertise in driving root cause, containment, irreversible corrective actions and lessons learned, structured problem solving (Red X), and quality systems execution • Experience within aerospace and defense or similarly complex industries • Experience leading and mentoring technical teams • U.S. citizenship • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance • Active and existing DoD Secret security clearance required after day 1 • Ability to reside and work from one of the 50 U.S. states, excluding U.S. territories • Willingness and ability to travel 75% of the time to supplier locations • Preferred: demonstrated end-to-end ownership of supplier manufacturing output • Preferred: leadership experience cultivating a high-performance culture • Preferred: Supplier Quality experience in automotive or similarly complex, regulated environments • Preferred: experience leading production operations for highly engineered products • Preferred: experience leading technical teams and managing cross-functional initiatives • Preferred: strong analytical skills • Preferred: excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement capabilities
