📋 Description

• Prepare complex PCB design layouts or revisions from verbal instructions, electrical inputs, existing hardware, or engineering lab models • Create highly complex circuit card assemblies incorporating Collins Aerospace best practices for fabrication, assembly, and testability • Interface with Manufacturing, Engineering, and PWB fabrication vendors on printed circuit designs, revisions, and CAD library models • Troubleshoot printed circuit designs, revisions, and CAD library models • Mentor and coach junior-level designers • Serve as a focal point for designs and provide CAD tool expertise to internal customers • Support management policies and procedures and complete assigned work • Attend select interview steps in person if requested

🎯 Requirements

• AA/AS degree or other 2-year post-high-school training • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience • Certification may be required for technical support roles • Proficiency in Mentor Graphics Xpedition Designer, Layout, and CES • Proficiency in Mentor Graphics HyperLynx Si/Pi/DRC • Proficiency in Mentor Graphics Valor • Proficiency in DownStream Technologies CAM350 and BluePrint • Willingness and ability to work overtime as requested/required • Mentor Graphics EDM is a plus • Strong understanding of electronic hardware design • Functional knowledge of IPC standards for design and acceptance criteria of printed circuit and/or circuit card assembly levels • Knowledge of Collins Aerospace Workmanship Standards is a plus • Ability to continually learn new technologies and processes • U.S. citizenship required; only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
