• Conduct supplier assessment, monitoring, escape management, and quality issue resolution processes • Analyze quality data and recommend part-/supplier-specific issue resolution and corrective actions • Research and explain root cause analysis and problem solving using Red-X and 8D in escape management procedures • Develop corrective and preventive actions for systemic process and product design problems involving supplier-provided products • Conduct supplier qualification/certification, source inspection, and material release processes • Conduct Corrective Action Boards and DQ Clinics with suppliers • Review processes and metrics and recommend actions to ensure supplier capability for work transfer and process change management • Support Resourcing Gate and PPAP acceptance • Travel periodically to supplier locations in Northern and Midwestern areas of the United States • Work as an individual contributor to achieve objectives with significant impact on the area of responsibility • Manage Supplier Quality & Development processes and/or projects • Collaborate with internal and external executives, employees, stakeholders, and suppliers
• University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience • Experience in a supply chain operations environment, including monitoring, auditing, or developing suppliers/operations, or equivalent • Experience using MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Experience with quality regulations and quality tools • Experience using PFMEAs, Control Plans, and Process Flows • U.S. Person status required • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to use multiple interaction styles to convince or persuade stakeholders • Experience with problem solving and escape management techniques • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement and Lean Six Sigma • Aerospace industry experience preferred • Experience conducting manufacturing process reviews preferred • Experience using APQP or PPAP preferred • Security clearance is not required
