📋 Description

• Run and test modeling and simulation of algorithmic models using Simulink and MATLAB • Document equations, derivations, and generate plots in MATLAB • Perform data and statistical analysis • Contribute to lab-based work on target products • Test algorithms and models for the JPALS program • Develop tools to support sufficient testing • Work on multiple tasks in a software development environment • Conduct system troubleshooting and analysis • Improve code quality through code reviews and sound software practices • Work independently under limited supervision or collaboratively with teams to achieve operational targets • Communicate and collaborate with parties inside and outside the job function • Potentially provide guidance, coaching, and training to other employees

🎯 Requirements

• Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in STEM major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session • Proficiency in MATLAB, including code optimization and numerical stability • Exposure to the systems engineering discipline • Experience reading and developing algorithm descriptions, mathematical expressions and derivations, matrix manipulations, outlier analysis, and system-level analysis • Demonstrable computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint • U.S. citizenship required because only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance • Active and existing DoD Secret security clearance required after day 1 • Experience with complex statistical analysis and/or mathematical modeling preferred • Experience with model-driven design using Simulink preferred • Experience with data analysis and problem solving, such as anomaly investigation, preferred
