• Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to the travel and expense team members • Assign and prioritize tasks to ensure timely and accurate processing of expense reports • Handle escalations and resolve issues effectively, professionally in a timely manner • Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated travel and expense-related inquiries • Meet team Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and goals • Foster a positive and motivating work environment, encouraging staff to meet and exceed performance targets • Collaborates with other team leads to align resources where they are most needed • Provide training and guidance for employees on travel and expense policies and system usage as required • Identify training needs and work with management to develop and implement training programs for the team • Evaluate current travel and expense processes and identify opportunities for efficiencies and enhancements • Performs additional responsibilities and tasks assigned to support the overall objectives of the team/department
• An Associates Degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience • In lieu of a degree, 8 years of relevant experience may be considered • Experience in expense reporting finance or an adjacent field, preferably in a large multi‑business unit organization • Experience with government accounting concepts including allowability rules and regulations around expense reporting • 1+ year of experience with Concur or other travel and expense operating systems
