📋 Description

• Oversees and strategically manages workflows for new property and casualty business and renewals • Evaluates, prioritizes, and selects submissions and prices risks for underwriting profit • Drives risk assessment evaluating coverage value, location, usage, and safety features • Determines coverage limits, insurance premiums, policy terms based on risk assessment • Negotiates terms and conditions with brokers and creates cross-sell opportunities • Develops initiatives for new business opportunities and maximizes retention of portfolios • Manages relationships delivering superior customer service and expands the book of business • Collaborates with underwriting teams, optimizes task coordination, and communicates seamlessly • Provides accurate premium forecasts, contributes to budgeting and supports performance targets • Optimizes underwriting processes and introduces new technologies • Delivers training for new underwriters

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Property and Casualty Underwriting • Bachelor’s degree required, Risk Management, Actuarial and Business Administration preferred • Must meet minimum requirements for state P&C and/or surplus line licenses • Preferred: Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC)
