📋 Description

• Provide support to the NNSA UK Team Lead and the W93 Federal Program Manager for the W93/UK Replacement Warhead • Assist with technical, program, and project management support for UK Team Lead/W93 FPM • Liaise with Defense Programs, NNSA, UK Program, and Department of Defense organizations associated with W93/UK-RW initiatives • Serve as Senior Program Support Engineer for established US/UK nuclear weapon exchanges under the 1958 Mutual Defense Agreement • Assist federal team members with negotiating requirements, program planning and direction with the DoD (US Navy) • Integrate program activities within the NNSA Nuclear Weapons Complex • Direct planning and execution via Warhead Side Sessions for joint US/UK weapon program research, design, development, production, modification, surveillance, safety, and dismantlement • Assess NNSA weapons production complex capability and capacity and coordinate facility and resource planning • Provide guidance for developing or revising policies, requirements, and procedures for UK program compatibility assessment, qualification, production, and procurement • Ensure nuclear weapons complex integration and deliver program commitments • Maintain accountability to NNSA, US Navy, and UK senior leadership for program performance and commitments

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or science; a degree in business, project/program management, or related field with relevant experience may be considered • Active Q or Top Secret security clearance • 15 or more years of technical experience in weapons/nuclear weapons and delivery platforms • Experience including program/project management or systems engineering, nuclear weapons system sustainment or acquisition, including international programs • Demonstrated technical knowledge of nuclear weapons, ideally SLBMs • Knowledge of NNSA and Navy Strategic Systems Programs, ideally • Experience managing interfaces between NNSA/DOE, Nuclear National Laboratories and Nuclear Production Agencies, and DoD • NNSA/DoD interagency experience • Knowledge of NNSA Nuclear Weapons programs and activities, missions, policies, objectives, management principles and processes, and analytical/evaluative methods and techniques for assessing program development or execution and improving organizational effectiveness and efficiency, with emphasis on 6.X process • 30–50% travel required, including international travel
