• Provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long term care under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician • Demonstrate knowledge of nursing principles and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise • Apply age- and population-specific standards to residents’ physical and psychosocial needs according to care plans • Perform testing to evaluate data reflective of residents’ status • Recognize problems, recommend solutions, and respond effectively in emergent situations • Ensure residents’ health, comfort, and safety • Contribute to resident assessments and administer ordered medications or treatments • Provide technical support to healthcare professionals as needed • Document resident interactions and outcomes related to care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary needs • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with residents, healthcare providers, and the public • Work as a member of an interdisciplinary care team • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information • Counsel residents, family members, and/or resident advocates under clinical supervision on prevention and treatment plans • Develop resident self-care programs using resident education principles • Perform other related duties as assigned
• Travel required to support multiple locations within 75-mile radius of permanent address • 3 months experience in Long Term Care required (6 months preferred) • Minimum of 30 hours per month • One weekend shift per month • Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse • Minimum of 18 years of age • Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility • Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges • Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications • Completes required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training requirements of the department and facility • If position requires IV therapy/management skills, graduation from a Board approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing
• $10/hour premium on all hours worked • $1.25/hour weekend shift differential • $1.25/hour evening/night shift differential (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
