📋 Description

• Serve as a trusted scientific partner to external experts through timely scientific exchanges • Execute stakeholder engagement plans and gather, develop, and share medical insights • Keep current with medical and scientific developments and support evidence-generation plans • Identify unmet needs among patients, consumers, regulators, payers, and healthcare providers • Maintain compliant communication among Medical Affairs, Medical Information, and Commercial Operations • Engage KOLs and other stakeholders in medical and scientific information exchange • Establish long-term peer relationships with KOLs and stakeholder partners • Explain disease management, healthcare policy, guidelines, and product scientific value using approved materials • Map, identify, profile, and prioritize stakeholders • Plan territory and stakeholder engagement strategies and attend relevant scientific congresses • Organize educational meetings and local scientific advisory boards • Support speaker training • Respond to unsolicited medical information requests and investigator-sponsored study inquiries • Collect, record, report, and evaluate stakeholder insights • Share scientific information and external insights with internal stakeholders • Collaborate with Commercial Operations, Business Development, Regulatory, and other functions • Support protocol development, epidemiology, surveillance, pharmacovigilance, effectiveness studies, and data acquisition • Monitor clinical trial activity and suggest clinical trial sites • Manage approximately 50 stakeholders and maintain engagement tracking database • Develop and execute KOL territory and medical engagement plans across the assigned territory • Travel nationally and internationally as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Advanced degree in a relevant scientific or medical field (e.g., MD, PhD, PharmD, NP, PA, or equivalent) • Minimum 2 years in the pharmaceutical/biopharma/biotech industry • Must reside in territory: Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York City Metro region • MSL experience strongly preferred • Experience in gastroenterology or immunology therapeutic area • Experience with health systems and large organizational practices in GI • Established relationships with KOLs, payers, and healthcare providers • Experience supporting Investigator Sponsored Studies (ISS) • Strong scientific communication and presentation skills • Ability to work independently in a field-based, remote environment • Deep understanding of local regulations and pharmaceutical industry codes of practice • Knowledge of healthcare systems, medical landscape, regulatory and payer environment, public health, and industry trends • Proficiency in digital tools • Must complete fleet safety training and maintain an acceptable driving record
