📋 Description

• Lead electrical engineering groups on complex nuclear power plant projects • Investigate, troubleshoot, and solve electrical engineering issues • Lead group members to complete deliverables within technical, quality, financial, and project-control expectations • Initiate and convey scopes of work and define deliverables • Review status, track progress, maintain project scope and budget, and keep clients informed • Conduct routine status meetings and submit progress reports • Track and resolve open items and emergent project issues • Coordinate completion of project deliverables • Lead detailed electrical engineering design phases and coordinate with other disciplines • Develop project scopes, cost estimates, schedules, and proposals for complex electrical modifications at nuclear power plants • Provide technical oversight for design change packages, engineering calculations, procurement specifications, and vendor bid reviews • Support vendor questions and maintain question/response tracking • Interface with clients to validate scope and ensure satisfaction • Mentor and guide group development • Identify client needs and develop follow-on work and strategic opportunities • Prepare and coordinate multi-discipline proposals

🎯 Requirements

• A BSEE degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program • Ten or more years’ experience in the design of electrical engineering systems for nuclear power plants • Three or more years experience in leading an engineering design group through all phases of a project design • Experience in the selection of equipment, materials, and the preparation and assembling of engineering design change packages, calculations, and specifications • Experience with serving as firm/client liaison in a support or lead engineering role • Experience with electrical system design including low and medium voltage distribution systems, transformers, generators, motors, and relays • Effective written and verbal communication skills • Proficiency with MS Office applications • Detail oriented approach to work • Capable of being badged for unescorted access to a nuclear station • PE Licensure is preferred • Must not require employer sponsorship for work authorization in the U.S.
