📋 Description

• Lead and support small and large nuclear controls projects with focus on technical execution and effective project management • Upgrade and modernize nuclear power plants using current control technologies • Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and structural disciplines to complete projects • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve controls engineering issues • Develop digital systems designs including PLC, DCS, HSI, and networked computer systems • Prepare control system functional and implementation requirements and procurement specifications • Interface with clients to ensure project execution and client satisfaction • Prepare and review technical reports, calculations, and studies • Manage resources/resource loading and develop task completion estimates and budgets • Support proposal development • Prepare and review diagrams and drawings for new and upgraded controls solutions • Evaluate vendor bids from a technical perspective • Interface with vendors, review documents, ensure equipment compliance, and witness FAT performance • Support project implementation at client facilities

🎯 Requirements

• BS or MS in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Nuclear Engineering from an ABET accredited program • 12 or more years of experience in the design engineering of instrumentation and controls systems in a project team environment for commercial, industrial applications • Experience focused on integrated and detailed system design modifications • Professional Engineering license is preferred • Ability to clearly communicate both in speech and written formats • Technical knowledge of available equipment and proven pre-engineered systems for systems design execution • Experience serving as the firm's client liaison in a support or lead engineering role • Experience reviewing design documentation • Must not require employer sponsorship for work authorization in the U.S.
