📋 Description

• Perform civil engineering reviews for storm water drainage, sanitary sewer systems, road design, and earthwork • Support preparation of general arrangement drawings with mechanical and electrical engineers • Prepare preliminary civil designs for grading, erosion control, drainage and stormwater, wastewater, and access roads, including bills of quantities • Prepare and review technical specifications defining construction requirements • Advise power project developers • Independently evaluate new power and infrastructure projects to support financing • Develop technical reports for owners, developers, governmental agencies and committees, and financiers • Lead others in applying data, automation, and AI to improve engineering workflows, reduce rework, and deliver cost-effective designs • Direct automation and process-improvement work, including calculation automation, technical document summarization, and design documentation generation • Oversee engineers programming or scripting in Python, MATLAB, or advanced Excel, and review automated outputs • Guide when and how AI or agentic AI tools are used while ensuring results are checked • Work in multidisciplinary project teams supporting utility-scale thermal, solar, wind, battery energy storage, and other power-generating and infrastructure projects

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required • 10+ years of experience in design techniques, tools, and principles involved in producing technical plans, drawings, calculations, and models • 5+ years of experience in detailed design of site grading and drainage, stormwater systems, road design, transport plans, track design, and ponds • Proficiency with ArcGIS Pro, Autodesk Civil 3D, HydroCAD, StormCAD, PondPack, FLO-2D Pro, and AutoTURN • Capability to work in geospatially located tools • Power plant project design experience, including combined cycle, simple cycle, nuclear, wind, or solar projects • Experience writing and providing support documentation for Civil Engineering specifications or calculations • Ability to work in a team environment • Ability to prioritize multiple parallel, fast-paced tasks within schedule and assigned budget • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical evaluation report writing • U.S. work authorization sponsorship is not provided • Professional Engineering (PE) license valued but not required • Data analysis and visualization valued but not required • Project finance or business acumen valued but not required • Construction project management and/or scheduling software knowledge valued but not required • Project planning, leadership, and organizational skills valued but not required • Willingness or ability to lead others using automation and AI tools • Additional learning in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or related fields valued
