📋 Description

• Collaborate with structural engineers and interface with engineers from other disciplines • Guide the work of less experienced project team members • Work on engineering projects for new nuclear facilities and upgrades and modifications to nuclear power plants • Apply knowledge of materials, structural analysis, structural steel design, and reinforced concrete design • Prepare and review design calculations • Develop specifications • Support designers with drawing development • Guide others in developing engineering deliverables • Perform structural analysis and design of steel frames, connections, concrete members, and foundations using computer tools • Potentially travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and plant sites for construction coordination and field verification of designs • Lead or oversee automation and process-improvement work, including engineering calculations, technical-document summaries, design documentation, and review of AI-enabled outputs

🎯 Requirements

• BS degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program • Seven or more years of experience working as a member of a project team in the design and analysis of structures • Proficiency with structural analysis software such as STAAD, SAP2000, SAFE, STRUDL, or ANSYS • Proficiency with design codes and standards such as ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI • Good written and verbal communication skills • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; the employer does not sponsor work authorization • Willingness or ability to lead others using modern tools such as automation and AI • MSCE degree, experience with power plant and/or industrial structures, on-site construction support experience, PE or SE license, and additional computer science/AI/software engineering learning are valued but not required
