📋 Description

• Develop structural physical layout drawings in a 3-D model • Design structural supports and foundations • Investigate, troubleshoot, and solve structural design issues • Use 3D modeling software tools to generate structural design schematics • Coordinate detailed design phases for all aspects of an integrated structural design model • Support designers and project team members to ensure complete and timely design • Plan and execute structural design deliverables independently and as part of a design team • Potentially accompany senior designers and engineers on field walkdowns and data gathering at client facilities • Provide guidance on drafting tools • Mentor less experienced drafters and designers

🎯 Requirements

• Associate's Degree in drafting, or a high school diploma and 1 or more years drafting course work or equivalent technical experience • Four or more years of detailed design experience developing structural steel design and reinforced concrete design drawings • Proficiency with design software tools for executing 3D plant layout models • Experience with Open Building Designer • Experience reviewing structural layout drawings involving steel frames, connections, concrete members, equipment and piping supports, foundations, and rebar detailing • Ability to interface with engineering and design teams of other disciplines in the power plant design process • Work authorization in the U.S.; the employer does not sponsor employees for work authorization • Experience with MicroStation valued but not required
