⢠Handle field appraisal assignments for corporate fleets and insurance clients, with emphasis on autos ⢠Set appointments the same day, inspect vehicles within 24 hours, and write estimates car-side ⢠Write 6 to 10 estimates per day, depending on location ⢠Ensure proper vehicle tear-down ⢠Determine repair time allotments and required labor operations ⢠Make accurate repair/replace decisions ⢠Assess and apply pre-existing damage and complete accurate total-loss evaluations ⢠Negotiate agreed prices with shop decision makers and set time-bound expected completion dates according to client guidelines ⢠Review and assess the validity of supplement requests ⢠Provide customers with vehicle repair-cost estimate information and explain the claims/repair process ⢠Maintain accurate vehicle repair-cost estimates ⢠Negotiate advanced fees for towing, tear-down, and storage for vehicles determined to be financial total losses ⢠Provide extraordinary customer service to all parties involved in the claims process ⢠Assist the quality-assurance team and perform desk appraisal work when not in the field ⢠Perform other duties as assigned by management
⢠Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred, but not required ⢠Four (4) years of insurance or body shop experience required ⢠Good technical knowledge of auto appraisals ⢠Knowledge of client operations and labor regulations ⢠Excellent oral and written communication ⢠PC literate, including Microsoft Office products ⢠Analytical and interpretive skills ⢠Strong organizational skills ⢠Excellent interpersonal skills ⢠Excellent negotiation skills ⢠Good judgment and discretion skills ⢠Ability to manage multiple projects and set priorities ⢠Ability to work in a team environment ⢠Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies ⢠CCC One experience ⢠Must be able to pass state license for appraisal within 30 days of hire ⢠Reliable transportation required for travel to assigned work locations ⢠Ability to work independently ⢠Ability to manage a local territory and schedule the workday ⢠Ability to handle work-related stress and multiple priorities simultaneously ⢠Ability to meet deadlines ⢠Computer keyboarding ability ⢠Ability to travel locally as required
