📋 Description
• Analyze and process complex or technically difficult general liability claims • Investigate claims and gather information to determine claim exposure • Manage claims through action plans to timely and appropriate resolution • Manage the litigation process for timely and cost-effective resolution • Coordinate vendor referrals for investigation and litigation management • Lead team meetings and assign accountability for follow-up items • Gather compliance and claims processing information for team meetings • Assist with interviews of adjusters and clerical staff and provide feedback to the hiring manager • Support the team lead with monthly adjuster workload reviews, identify trends, and suggest adjustments • Provide backup for the team lead when out of office • Potentially supervise up to three direct reports • Administer personnel policies and follow staffing and training standards • Interview, hire, establish performance development plans, and conduct performance discussions • Provide support, guidance, leadership, and motivation to promote performance
🎯 Requirements
• 5 years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required • High School Diploma or GED required • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred • Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred • Experience in SE jurisdiction • FL experience necessary • Required licensing • Workers Compensation and supervisory knowledge and experience • Ability to analyze complex or technically difficult claims • Ability to investigate claims and determine exposure and benefits due • Ability to manage litigation and rehabilitation claims • Ability to identify subrogation and negotiate settlements • Ability to meet service expectations, industry best practices, and client requirements • Clear and conceptual thinking, excellent judgment, troubleshooting, problem solving, analysis, and discretion • Ability to handle work-related stress, multiple priorities, and deadlines • Computer keyboarding; hearing, vision, and talking
