📋 Description

• Adjust claims arising under automobile, homeowner, and excess liability policies • Develop exposures and evaluate injury claims based on damages, insurance contracts, company policies, and applicable state laws • Investigate and evaluate coverage, liability, and damages involving serious and catastrophic injuries and complex legal issues • Refer suits to counsel in a timely manner and evaluate changing exposure during discovery • Manage defense counsel in serious and complex claim litigation and complex coverage scenarios • Formulate plans to resolve claims while controlling indemnity and expense leakage • Evaluate coverage and draft reservation-of-rights and coverage-denial letters • Maintain proper reserves on all pending claims • Perform other assigned duties • Travel as required

🎯 Requirements

• Eight (8) years of related experience, including personal lines claims, coverage evaluation, and drafting reservation-of-rights and coverage-denial letters, or equivalent combination of education and experience required • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred • State-mandated adjusting licenses as required • Insurance designations such as CPCU, AIC, or ARM preferred • Experience with commercial lines claims and litigation in multiple states preferred • Knowledge of affluent market segment • Strong knowledge of tort theories, legal concepts, negotiation strategies, and litigation management • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills • PC literacy, including Microsoft Office products • Analytical and interpretive skills • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills • Excellent negotiating skills • Ability to create comprehensive, accurate, and constructive written reports • Ability to work in a team environment • Ability to meet or exceed performance competencies • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines • Travel as required
