📋 Description

• Evaluate insurance policies, claims forms, endorsements, carrier instructions, and records to determine coverage • Investigate property and casualty claims through reports, records, interviews, correspondence, and damage inspections • Estimate repair, replacement, or compensation costs • Prepare findings reports and negotiate claim settlements • Issue settlement checks and file regulatory documents • Handle salvage and subrogation as applicable • Recommend litigation when settlements cannot be negotiated • Attend litigation hearings and participate in depositions as necessary • Revise case reserves to cover probable costs • Manage the assigned caseload efficiently using technology and automation tools • Send claims exceeding $15,000 in gross loss to leadership for authority approval • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Appropriate state adjuster license is required • Must obtain IIA-AIC designation within 12 to 18 months in the role • Three years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred • Prior property and casualty claims experience is a plus but not required • Empathetic claims handling demeanor • Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills • PC literacy, including Microsoft Office products • Analytical and interpretive skills • Negotiating skills • Ability to create and complete comprehensive, accurate, and constructive written reports • Ability to work in a team environment • Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines • Computer keyboarding; travel as required
