📋 Description

• Lead the work of research teams assigned to major union campaigns and programs • Supervise International research staff and work with International structures, Organizing leadership, and Local unions • Develop research capacity, methods, strategies, and tools to support campaigns and programs • Recruit, train, evaluate, and support research staff • Lead and perform strategic research within the Strategic Initiatives department • Develop effective national organizing, political, and other priority campaigns • Support union leads on campaigns and programs • Implement strategies and tactics supporting national union campaigns and programs • Work with leaders and staff to develop organizing campaign strategies • Create Local union research networks • Provide research assistance to SEIU State councils • Educate and train International and Local staff on industry issues • Work with elected leadership, union leaders, staff, members, and external labor and industry organizations

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required • At least 7 years of experience in union research and campaign work is preferred • Combination of education and related experience may be considered, demonstrating progressively more responsible roles • Familiarity with union-related research and campaign work • Experience developing and leading research/campaign projects in support of organizational goals and objectives • Long and extended hours and travel required • Ability to work independently, lead projects, and supervise junior staff
