• Perform brief, evidence-based virtual individual and/or group counseling for low- to moderate-acuity patients with acute mental health conditions • Provide outpatient treatment services, follow-up care, psychiatric care, and triage for patients with acute illnesses and complex disorders • Make recommendations on major diagnoses and treatment plans • Attend staff meetings for case discussion, continuing education, continuous quality improvement, and safety • Recommend hospitalization and determine service members’ fitness for duty • Assess and complete Active-Duty Profiles, Medical Evaluation Board evaluations, Military Occupation/Mental Status Evaluations, command consultations, and related administrative processes • Communicate TRICARE and Department of Defense beneficiary requirements and benefits • Prepare and maintain clinical records, case summaries, reports, and correspondence using approved electronic medical records • Develop, monitor, and document comprehensive treatment and rehabilitation plans • Diagnose patients using the DSM and evaluate laboratory and clinical findings • Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, nurses, social workers, military liaisons, and commanders • Direct quality assurance within the area of responsibility • Arrange safe therapeutic outcomes and update patient charts within required timelines • Follow SOP duty limitations, weapons access assessments, safety notifications, and DHA scheduling requirements
• Doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited university or professional school • Completion of an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship in professional psychology • Two years of post-graduate experience as a Clinical Psychologist using virtual platforms to perform bio-psychosocial evaluations, develop behavioral health treatment plans, administer Active-Duty Profiles, conduct Medical Evaluation Board evaluations, make fitness-for-duty determinations, and provide psychotherapy • Candidates with less than two years of experience using virtual platforms will be considered • Current, active, valid, unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently, offered by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction • Fulfill credentialing requirements and obtain and maintain appropriate/relevant clinical privileges • Must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross • Advanced certification (e.g., ALS) does not supersede BLS
