• Work directly with and report to a Tax Partner specializing in international tax matters. • Gain hands-on exposure to cross-border compliance, planning, and advisory projects. • Serve as a cornerstone of client engagement teams and a key communication point between team members and clients. • Ensure client satisfaction and appropriate execution of engagement plans. • Develop and demonstrate deep knowledge of technical tax issues and their application. • Help manage engagement economics and bring potential change orders to clients, managers, and partners. • Complete all parts of the CPA exam toward earning professional credentials as a certified public accountant or enrolled agent. • Manage expectations of managers, partners, and clients regarding engagement project timing. • Coordinate with team members to adjust for schedule changes. • Prepare tax returns for C corporations, S corporations, partnerships, LLCs, trusts, estates, and individuals. • Conduct tax research and analysis to ensure compliance and identify tax-saving opportunities. • Maintain frequent client communication and foster long-term relationships. • Coordinate and oversee team members’ work. • Ensure adherence to firm procedures, legal requirements, and client specifications. • Mentor and develop junior staff. • Identify cross-selling opportunities. • Participate in internal project teams and firm-wide initiatives. • Review development plans, attend training, maintain relevant licenses and memberships, and meet minimum CPE requirements.
• Bachelors in Accounting or related field • Minimum three (3) years of experience in public accounting with focus in taxation • Masters degree in taxation or related field preferred • Eligibility to be licensed as a CPA or Enrolled Agent required or LLM in Tax • CPA certification is preferred • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and accounting software such as CCH products, ProAxcess, and FX Engagement • Knowledge of IRS codes and entity tax matters • Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) • Knowledge of individual, corporation, and partnership tax rules • Interest in learning and doing international tax work • Experience preparing tax returns • Experience solving complicated tax issues • Solid understanding of advanced accounting issues • Strong analytical aptitude and application • Strong written and oral communication skills
