📋 Description

• Implement a rigorous college-prep curriculum for motivated high school Scholars • Serve as a coach and facilitator of learning using a student-centered approach • Co-teach three to four periods including ELA; lead classes independently when covering for another instructor • Follow provided lesson plans and meet lesson objectives while maintaining rigorous instruction and student engagement • Learn and efficiently use Brightspace, Nearpod, G Suite applications, and Zoom chat in a blended learning environment • Read, internalize, practice, and thoughtfully adapt lesson plans and materials based on student needs • Host open-door lunch tutoring sessions for skill review, makeup work, and new skill development • Promote an energetic, engaging, and approachable classroom culture • Attend scheduled meetings, professional development trainings, check-ins, and debriefs; respond to emails and Zoom chats promptly • Meet with the assigned instructional coach at least twice during the semester and implement feedback from observations

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in content related field • Teaching certification, K-12 classroom teaching experience, and/or experience teaching at the college or university level • Reliable personal laptop meeting basic technology requirements • Experience working with high school-aged students • Comfortable navigating technological learning systems • Expertise and depth of knowledge in advanced high school-level English and Humanities subjects • Eagerness to engage in conversations analyzing the historical and continued causes of societal ills and challenges • Understanding and practice of student-centered pedagogy preferred • Knowledge and experience with Universal Design for Learning (UDL) preferred • Certifications, PD course completions, and/or tertiary education in Instructional Technologies preferred
