📋 Description

• Provide integrated off-site support to patients, pharmacists, and providers • Deliver medication adherence support and promote hospital partner pharmacy services • Provide prior authorization, financial assistance, medication onboarding, and refill/renewal support • Educate prospective pharmacy patients about hospital pharmacy services • Handle patients’ medication needs and resolve insurance-related issues • Complete benefit investigations and prior authorizations as an agent of the provider • Review and secure financial assistance when available • Document patient information in the hospital EMR, Therigy, and Shields proprietary tools • Conduct medication adherence checkups and secure prescription refills and renewals • Communicate with patients about their medications • Identify special medication storage/handling requirements and necessary supplies • Answer, resolve, and triage inbound inquiries • Input data, adjudicate test claims, and prepare follow-up action plans • Apply observations and recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and customer service • Participate in process improvement initiatives • Maintain confidentiality of organizational information • Maintain professional knowledge through educational opportunities and industry participation • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• State registered as a pharmacy technician • 2–3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician • High School Diploma or GED required • Strong interpersonal communication skills and exceptional phone skills • Comfortable proactively engaging patients, on-site clinicians, payors, and pharmacies by phone • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word • Proficiency in Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Ability to quickly learn other programs and web-based platforms • Strong organizational skills • Ability to sit and/or stand with focus at a workstation for long periods • Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive and private data • Data entry and computer skills will be evaluated during pre-employment • CPhT or equivalent is strongly preferred but not required • Specialty disease-state experience in transplant, hepatitis C, infectious disease including HIV, diabetes, MS, or oncology is a plus
