• Build and lead a team of Neurology Account Specialists • Launch approved products • Create and execute regional strategies • Develop people, manage performance and drive results for approved products • Analyze sales data to identify growth opportunities and areas of concern • Manage sales, pre-launch activities, strategic business planning and implementation for approved products • Build and direct acquisition, expansion and retention of targeted business within the assigned geographic area • Optimize national strategy and drive regional business results using knowledge of institutions, market access and key customers • Participate in formulating national and regional sales strategies and execute them within the geographic area • Establish and manage regional expense budgets and ensure appropriate resource utilization and planning • Select and hire Neurology Account Specialists; provide coaching, performance feedback and inspiration • Ensure regional sales team compliance with company policies and corporate governance • Communicate vision, business objectives, performance outcomes and future action steps • Identify opportunities for organizational efficiency and process improvements • Partner with CADs, DPAs, MPAs, HUB and other company personnel to develop strategies and relationships • Develop and maintain professional relationships with targeted KOLs, physicians, medical staff and key center personnel • Anticipate and proactively address business challenges • Adjust priorities to meet SI business needs • Maintain proficiency in selling skills, clinical, market and product knowledge • Represent the company, products and people with integrity and respect • Complete tasks and projects assigned by the Sr. Director, National Sales • Ensure activities comply with applicable regulations and pharmaceutical guidelines • Report directly to the Sr. Director, National Sales • Work collaboratively with field-based and internal colleagues, especially Sales, Sales Operations, Medical, Compliance and Human Resources • Interact with KOLs, physicians, healthcare providers, administrators and HUB personnel
• BA/BS degree required; advanced degree preferred • Minimum of 7 years of pharmaceutical sales experience • Minimum of 5 years in sales management • Preferred experience in Neurology, Rare Disease, CNS, Orphan Drugs, new product launches, and hiring, selection and development of sales teams • In-depth understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and regulations/guidelines pertaining to pharmaceutical sales • Buy and Bill, hospital and institutional knowledge highly preferred • Business acumen, strong bottom-line orientation, entrepreneurial spirit and resourcefulness • Leadership and motivational skills, with demonstrated ability to observe, assess and develop sales staff • Superior oral, written communication and presentation skills • Proficiency in MS Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint • Must be able to travel up to 50+%, including frequent overnight stays
