📋 Description

• Own the end-to-end design process from discovery and research/concept exploration through polished implementation, QA, and launch • Partner with Product and Engineering to define problems, shape product strategy, and influence what gets built • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, product quality, and customer experience for creators, brands, and shoppers • Prototype and experiment to validate ideas, communicate concepts, and reduce uncertainty before development • Leverage modern AI tools and emerging workflows for design, QA, prototyping, and execution • Participate in critiques and product discussions, providing thoughtful feedback and raising the team’s quality bar • Contribute to and evolve the design system for consistency, scalability, and accessibility • Deliver polished, detailed experiences from concept through launch • Stay current with new tools, technologies, and product patterns to improve team design and development practices

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of product design experience, ideally in a startup or fast-moving product environment • Portfolio demonstrating exceptional design, visual craft, and product thinking • Experience designing across web, mobile, and responsive platforms • Builder mindset; willingness to solve problems beyond the interface and enter unfamiliar territory • Strong product intuition balancing user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints • Comfort with rapid iteration and ambiguity, including knowing when to explore versus ship • Experience creating prototypes to communicate ideas and validate solutions • Curiosity about AI-powered design and development workflows • Experience with tools like Claude Code, Cursor, Lovable, or similar is a plus, but not required • Excellent collaboration and communication skills with Product, Engineering, and Design • Systems thinking with strong focus on scalability, quality, and craft • Excitement about ShopMy’s mission and willingness to shape the product and team-building process
