📋 Description

• Analyze and report on inventory balances, inventory reserves, gross margin, and cost of goods sold • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc financial reports • Assist with month-end close activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses • Support forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and KPIs • Collaborate with operations teams to identify and resolve physical inventory discrepancies • Analyze inventory transactions, roll-forwards, cost variances, and obsolescence reserves • Partner with supply chain and operations teams on COGS reporting and inventory valuation • Provide insights on inventory turnover, shrinkage, and operational inefficiencies • Maintain pricing grids, costing data, system updates, and integrated data sources • Develop advanced SQL queries and data pipelines across multiple systems • Build analytical models and improve automation and reporting standardization • Identify and implement financial process improvements • Support workflow and tool design for inventory management and financial reporting • Serve as a business partner to supply chain, operations, and accounting • Prepare audit documentation and support SOX control compliance • Work with IT and ERP teams to optimize financial and inventory reporting systems

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics • Minimum of 3–5 years of financial analysis and accounting experience • Experience preferably in inventory, COGS, or a related field • CPA or CMA certification is a plus • Experience in retail, wholesale, or e-commerce environments is highly desirable • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, with a focus on inventory and COGS accounting • Hands-on experience with ERP systems; SAP preferred • Advanced analytical skills • Strong proficiency in Excel • Strong experience with Tableau, Alteryx and/or Power BI • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to build strong relationships across departments and work collaboratively • Comfort working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with changing priorities
