• Gather requirements, design, build/configure, test, validate, and provide ongoing support for assigned Epic applications and related third-party systems • Acquire and maintain detailed knowledge of Epic software functionality and operational workflows • Coordinate planning, design, development, implementation, adoption, communication, maintenance, and evaluation of Epic-related functionality • Manage projects related to Epic and related third-party systems • Work with Epic TS and related Epic Application Analysts on complex issues and optimization • Review, analyze, and test every system change while following change control processes • Assist with development, implementation, education, evaluation, maintenance, and coordination of Epic and related applications • Develop or assist with tip sheets and training documentation for new or changed workflows • Communicate application-specific information to department leadership and application users • Maintain an Epic user web account and participate in webinars, seminars, workshops, product demonstrations, and user group meetings • Test vendor-provided software in a test environment and coordinate system upgrades • Maintain contacts with Epic partners and related vendors • Coordinate assigned projects, including defining projects, assigning tasks, setting deadlines, and managing other project aspects • Participate in on-call rotation, including weekend and after-hours coverage as assigned • Perform other related work as required • Train and mentor team members
• Associate’s degree in Business, IT or Healthcare Related field required, or 2 years of IT or healthcare experience in lieu of degree • Relevant job-related certifications • Epic application certification within 90 days of hire, as applicable • In-depth knowledge of assigned Epic application software functionality • Knowledge of operational workflows implemented with the Epic system • Ability to lead meetings, prioritize, resolve conflicts, manage issues, and oversee and implement project plans • Ability to probe for underlying organizational and user needs • Ability to review, analyze, and test system changes and follow change control processes • Ability to develop training documentation and communicate application information • Ability to manage projects and coordinate project completion • Ability to train and mentor team members • Willingness to participate in on-call rotation, including weekend and after-hours coverage as assigned
