📋 Description

• Provide strategic leadership for SIM International’s information technology systems and services • Ensure the value, security and sustainability of SIM International’s technology portfolio • Advise SIM International Leadership and SIM Entities on IT-related matters • Clarify organizational IT needs and lead implementation and maintenance of secure, reliable, cost-effective and relevant systems and services • Hold overall responsibility for IT systems and services provided by SIM International • Monitor system reliability, security and user experience • Establish, maintain and document IT processes, controls and risk-management measures • Establish strategic IT objectives based on organizational priorities • Lead the design and implementation of changes to IT systems • Lead, support and develop the International IT Services team • Advocate for the IT Services team to SIM International Leadership • Maintain IT Services team position descriptions and coordinate hiring and orientation • Implement performance improvement plans • Create the annual IT budget, monitor monthly expenses and report significant variances • Provide IT system and practice recommendations to International Leadership and SIM Entities • Maintain relevant, user-friendly content on the IT SharePoint site • Build partnerships with IT teams at SIM Entities • Cultivate a community of practice for people with IT skills across SIM • Invest in personal spiritual vitality, well-being, learning, development, rest, renewal and Sabbath

🎯 Requirements

• Commitment to SIM’s Purpose & Mission and to the specific vision of SIM International • Commitment to disciple making and seeing people live as true disciples of Jesus Christ • Professional, reliable and humble, with strong interpersonal skills • Degree or advanced certification in Computer Science or Information Systems • IT leadership experience covering multiple aspects of service, including development, cloud-based environments, network management, email administration and user support • Ability to see the big picture • Strong technical and analytical skills • Strong project management skills, with proven success at implementing systems and applications • Proven ability to communicate effectively and lead a diverse, professional team • Flexibility to work across time zones • Oral and written fluency in English • Experience with Microsoft tenant administration, especially AI governance • Experience with SharePoint, Power BI and Power Automate • Experience with Oracle NetSuite • Experience with BambooHR • IT management experience in an international mission environment • An SIM Member or Associate, or willingness to become one • Experience in cross-cultural relationships and ability to work collaboratively across cultures • Experience working with a virtual team • Multilingual, ideally in Spanish, French or Portuguese • Reliable internet connection with minimum broadband connectivity of 50 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload
