âą Lead the development, governance, and continuous maturation of a scalable, risk-based university privacy program âą Chair Privacy Committee(s) and participate in cross-functional working groups âą Develop, maintain, and oversee implementation of privacy policies, standards, procedures, and communication strategies âą Integrate privacy oversight into compliance, audit, and risk management processes âą Prepare annual privacy program reports for senior leadership âą Lead and improve privacy risk assessments, including DPIAs and enterprise-wide assessments âą Identify risk mitigation strategies with the Information Security Management Office and other stakeholders âą Assess privacy program effectiveness and maturity and support remediation and continuous improvement âą Oversee third-party privacy assessments, audits, and remediation activities âą Support cyber insurance review and selection efforts âą Monitor privacy-related regulatory developments and translate requirements into actionable institutional practices âą Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Information Security âą Support privacy incident response by coordinating with ISMO, Legal, and other stakeholders âą Develop processes for identifying, managing, escalating, and resolving privacy issues and incidents âą Design, implement, and maintain privacy training and awareness programs âą Serve as the University's privacy subject matter expert, advising on privacy requirements, data use, analytics, emerging technologies, and institutional initiatives
âą Bachelor's Degree âą 10 Years of experience in privacy, compliance, risk management or related field âą Relevant privacy-related professional certifications such as CIPP/US, CIPM, CIPT, or similar âą Demonstrated experience building or significantly contributing to privacy or compliance programs âą Strong knowledge of U.S. privacy laws and regulations, including FERPA, GLBA, and HIPAA âą Familiarity with global privacy frameworks, including GDPR, UK GDPR, DPDPA, PIPL, and PIPEDA âą Experience working in complex, decentralized organizations of significant scale âą Experience with large volumes of personal data, multi-state or multi-jurisdictional regulatory obligations, or enterprise-wide technology platforms strongly preferred âą Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills âą Sound ethical judgment and discretion with sensitive information âą Collaboration, adaptability, initiative, diplomacy, and practical learning agility âą Must reside in, and work from, one of the approved states âą Reliable internet connection and a dedicated, properly equipped workspace free of distractions
