📋 Description

• Lead daily safety briefings and identify, mitigate, and eliminate workplace hazards. • Apply Human Performance Error Prevention (HPEP) tools and principles. • Perform acceptance, commissioning, functional, and end-to-end testing of Transmission Line protection and Communication with utility. • Execute testing of transformers, breakers, and relay panel wiring. • Analyze relay event records and disturbance reports. • Review and analyze protection schemes and system designs. • Interpret protection and control schematics and wiring diagrams. • Review outage, commissioning, and energization procedures. • Function as on-site technical lead and interface with customers. • Perform complex troubleshooting and root cause analysis. • Train and qualify Relay Technician I/II and entry-level engineers. • Utilize SEL Grid Configurator, IEC 61850, and SEL RTAC systems. • Be willing to perform switching activities. • Prepare test reports, as-built drawings, and commissioning records.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience (preferred). • Minimum of five (5) years relevant industry experience. • NETA Level III or IV Certification (preferred). • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check. • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record. • A willingness to travel extensively and work extended hours on occasions. • Hands-on experience testing and maintaining protective relays. • Strong troubleshooting skills for transmission and distribution systems. • Proficiency with various relay testing software and equipment.
