📋 Description

• Translate rough concepts, references, and design ideas into finalized 2D and 3D game assets, including environments, characters, props, and supporting visual elements • Model, texture, and optimize high- and low-poly assets for real-time game engines • Create textures, materials, and shaders supporting the game’s visual style and technical requirements • Import, organize, and set up assets, scenes, cameras, lighting, and materials in Unity or Unreal Engine • Create particle effects, simple animations, material effects, and other VFX • Collaborate with designers, engineers, animators, and other team members to support gameplay mechanics, readability, and performance budgets • Iterate on assets based on stakeholder feedback, playtests, and technical constraints • Maintain organized source files and follow naming, versioning, and implementation standards • Help define and maintain a consistent visual style across asset types and game systems

🎯 Requirements

• Broad generalist skillset across modeling, texturing, lighting, materials, and basic rigging or animation • Strong proficiency with Photoshop and DCC software including Maya, Blender, ZBrush, Substance Painter, or equivalent tools • Experience with real-time game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine • Strong understanding of color theory, composition, lighting, form, silhouette, and visual readability • Ability to create assets across stylized and realistic styles • Portfolio demonstrating strong artistic fundamentals and completed 2D and/or 3D game artwork • Ability to work independently and solve visual and technical problems with minimal oversight • Strong communication skills and collaboration with design and engineering disciplines • Understanding of optimization, asset budgets, and performance considerations for real-time games • Background check required at the offer stage
