📋 Description

• Provide dotted-line supervision for programs including Dental Education, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Medical Assisting, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Physical Therapist Assistant, Radiography, Respiratory Therapy, and Surgical Technology • Oversee the strategic direction, development, and delivery of undergraduate health professions programs across multiple programs • Monitor and assess program outcomes with Senior Department Chairs and implement necessary changes • Conduct curriculum reviews to ensure academic integrity and alignment with the institution’s mission • Ensure programs meet or exceed accreditation standards and continuously improve • Drive innovation in curriculum design and delivery, incorporating emerging healthcare and education trends • Lead accreditation processes and ensure compliance with accrediting bodies • Collaborate with academic leaders and administration to develop long-term goals and strategic priorities • Review program manuals and ensure regular updates • Ensure timely submission of assessment reports to accrediting bodies and the departmental annual assessment report • Lead development of new programs and initiatives addressing emerging healthcare needs • Promote innovation in pedagogy using technology, simulation, and interprofessional education • Foster continuous improvement and collaborative learning among chairs, directors, faculty, and staff • Build relationships with healthcare organizations, employers, and professional associations • Travel to campus locations as needed • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• A terminal degree (e.g., Ph.D., Ed.D., or equivalent) in a relevant field such as health professions education, medical education, public health, or discipline specific to health professions • Advanced training or certifications in higher education leadership or curriculum development is preferred • Extensive experience in academic leadership roles within health professions education, including teaching, curriculum development, and program administration • Demonstrated experience in the administration and coordination of programs • Proven leadership skills, including experience in faculty management, student affairs, and academic advising • Prior experience in undergraduate education, ideally with a background in specific health disciplines (allied health areas) • Strong background in accreditation processes, including overseeing program evaluations and ensuring compliance with accrediting bodies • Familiarity with healthcare and educational policy, as well as emerging technologies in education and healthcare delivery • Expertise in trends, challenges, and best practices in health professions education • Demonstrated experience in interdisciplinary and collaborative health education • Ability to travel to campus locations as needed
