📋 Description

• Instruct and facilitate meaningful learning of course outcomes in the curriculum • Support all facets of the learning environment • Provide learning-centered, competency-based instruction aligned with South University curricula and delivery systems • Design and deliver class instruction through instructional plans, learning activities, and approved course delivery • Foster student achievement by establishing performance criteria and evaluating learning • Establish a classroom environment conducive to learning and student involvement • Promote student success through flexible teaching style and schedule, passion for teaching, and student engagement • Maintain accurate records, submit grades and reports on time, and enforce academic and attendance policies • Participate in curriculum and system task forces, campus events, workshops, and meetings • Integrate professional, life, and industry experience into courses and stay aware of professional and industry trends • Promote the stature of academic programs, departments, and colleges while following university administration mandates

🎯 Requirements

• DNP or PhD in Nursing with FNP certification required • One to five years’ experience in instruction or formalized education, preferably in a post-secondary or college institution • Experience as an FNP strongly preferred • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to build successful relationships with student populations • Outstanding conflict resolution skills • Demonstrated time management and detail-oriented skills • Computer-based skills, including software, analytical, and report-writing skills • Ability to hold required office hours and respond to student questions and administration within the required response time • Willingness to work in an accelerated learning format, working online with students five of seven days per online week • Willingness to attend meetings as required by the respective department • Membership in a professional association tied to area of instruction preferred
