📋 Description

• Instruct and facilitate meaningful learning of course outcomes in the curriculum • Support all facets of the learning environment • Provide learning-centered instruction enabling graduates to fulfill evolving marketplace needs • Foster a culture of learning valuing mutual responsibility, respect, lifelong learning, diversity, ethics, and personal and professional development • Promote the stature of academic programs, departments, and colleges • Provide competency-based education aligned with the South University curriculum model and delivery system • Design and deliver class instruction through instructional plans, course activities, and approved lesson delivery • Establish student performance criteria and evaluate learning and achievement of exit competencies • Create classroom environments conducive to learning and student involvement • Promote student success through flexible teaching styles and schedules and engagement in the learning process • Maintain accurate records, submit grades and reports on time, and enforce academic and attendance policies • Participate in curriculum and system task forces, campus orientation and graduation events, workshops, and meetings • Maintain professional and technical skills and incorporate industry perspectives, trends, and opportunities into courses

🎯 Requirements

• DNP or PhD in Nursing with FNP certification required • One to five years’ experience in instruction or formalized education, preferably in a post-secondary or college institution • Experience as a FNP strongly preferred • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to build successful relationships with student populations • Outstanding conflict resolution skills • Demonstrated time management and detail-oriented skills • Computer-based skills, including software, analytical, and report writing skills • Ability to hold required office hours and respond to student questions and administration within the required response time • Willingness to work in an accelerated learning format, working online with students five of seven days per online week • Willingness to attend meetings as required by the respective department • Membership in a professional association tied to area of instruction preferred
