📋 Description

• Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor while managing complex student portfolios • Ensure strict adherence to Federal and State regulations • Train new Financial Aid Advisors and provide guidance on team processes • Participate in special initiatives and continuous departmental improvement • Use reports to review students, analyze required work, and independently prioritize daily workload • Provide strong customer service and accurately explain students’ aid and account status to students and parents • Collaborate with Admission Representatives to support prospective students and parents • Package assigned new, continuing, re-entry, and transfer students efficiently and accurately • Guide students through required financial aid forms, documents, and processes • Create compliant financial plans and explain aid-source rights and responsibilities to students and parents • Assist with alternative financing for remaining balances • Ensure student files are complete and accurate and aid is paid in a timely manner • Review ISIRs, request outstanding documents, and perform verification and C Code reviews • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, or Associate’s Degree and 5 years of related experience with federal and student financial aid, or 7+ years of related experience with federal and student aid • Financial aid or accounting experience required • Customer service and problem-solving experience required • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to make small group presentations and interact on a one-on-one basis • Ability to multitask, work independently, and make decisions based on guidelines • Strong basic computer software (MS Office) skills • Exposure to financial aid software; Campus Vue/Campus Nexus preferred • Willing and able to work on the Saturday prior to each start, once every 5 weeks • Reliable internet connection
