📋 Description

• Create and maintain 3D models using BIM software • Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and construction planning services team members • Ensure models are accurate and meet project requirements • Use models to identify and resolve conflicts or issues during the design phase • Produce jobsite electrical installation drawings using innovative and efficient practices • Apply BIM/VDC knowledge to size, evaluate, select, and specify raceway and wire routing for electrical power, lighting, and auxiliary systems • Use Southwire technology tools and industry BIM/VDC tools and technologies • Produce wire routing layouts and wire BOMs for efficient building wire installation • Prepare and revise plans, diagrams, details, and other documentation through design and construction phases • Develop three-dimensional models of electrical systems • Coordinate project specifications with construction documents and contractor preferences • Perform other assigned duties • Comply with all policies and standards

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's Degree • 2-4 years of experience • Field of Expertise: Electrical Modeling/Design • Proficiency with Autodesk collaboration tools including Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) • High level of knowledge and experience in Revit, AutoCAD, NAVIS Works, and Blue Beam • Proficient with reading, understanding, and analyzing MEP construction drawings, specifications, and submittals • Knowledge of construction codes and standards including NFPA 70 National Electrical Code • Self-directed with ability to manage workload and meet project deadlines with minimal supervision • Ability to adjust to changing schedules and deadlines as needed to meet contractor job requirements • BIM Technology Certification and Autodesk Certified Professional are preferred • 5-7 years of experience and Electric Design expertise are preferred • Skills in 3D Modeling, AutoCAD, Electrical Safety, Electrical Wiring, Microsoft 365, Quality Assurance, and Workflow Management
