📋 Description

• Follow all applicable safety and environmental rules and regulations • Learn high-voltage cable installation by pulling cables in conduits or laying cables in open trenches • Maintain quality-sensitive criteria required for high-voltage cables • Learn HV cable preparation methodologies • Secure cables at manholes and termination structures using clamping devices while maintaining proper spacing, dimensions, and orientation • Perform pre-, after-laying, and commissioning JIT (jacket integrity test) on high-voltage cable under the direction of Sr HV Tech • Interpret single-line/bonding diagrams • Install bonding systems including link boxes (SVL or DG) under the direction of Sr HV Tech • Assist with receiving, inspection, packaging, and shipping of HV accessories and components • Maintain and improve trade skills through training and workshops • Assist in maintaining installation equipment, tools, and facilities • Work with the team to execute projects according to budgets and schedules

🎯 Requirements

• Safety-minded individual who follows applicable safety and environmental rules and regulations • Ability to learn electrical and mechanical theory and apply practical skills • Ability to learn how to repair, replace, install, and commission HV Cable Systems • Ability to work as part of a team and execute projects according to budgets and schedules • Must be able to attain certification of at least one accessory manufacturer in one year • Ability to learn HV cable preparation methodologies • Ability to learn pre-, after-laying, and commissioning JIT (jacket integrity test) on high-voltage cable • Ability to interpret single-line/bonding diagrams or learn to do so • Ability to install bonding systems including link boxes (SVL or DG) or learn to do so • Ability to participate in necessary training/workshops to maintain and improve trade skills
