📋 Description

• Build and improve models that match records and score confidence in each result • Design labels and measurement approaches, including evaluation sets and hand-checking processes • Use AI models to help label data at scale and compare results against human judgment • Take models to production on AWS with ML engineering and DevOps • Manage retraining schedules, the model registry, and model/data lineage records • Review each data build before release, identify changes and regressions, and explain findings to product and sales partners • Work with the Product Owner to turn findings into stories with clear targets and prioritize research spikes • Document methods, review teammates' code, and participate in the DS/ML working group • Mentor a growing data science team

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of applied data science • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field is expected, or equivalent professional experience • Master's degree preferred • Experience taking a model from idea to production in a cloud setting such as AWS SageMaker, Databricks, MLflow, or similar • Experience monitoring models and measuring performance after launch • Experience working with very large datasets (100 million rows or more) using Spark or a similar tool, Python, and SQL • Experience evaluating models when no clean answer key exists, including sampling and hand-checking results • Ability to distinguish real improvement from noise and explain results, limitations, and tradeoffs in plain language • Experience maintaining models as data changes, including refreshing outdated labels and models and documenting processes • Experience handling personal data responsibly and following opt-out, retention, and lineage rules • Experience with record matching or deduplication, AI-assisted data labeling, graph methods, or converting raw model scores into actionable confidence is a plus • Ability to work in one of the eligible US states: AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, KY, MD, MI, MO, NJ, NV, NC, PA, SC, SD, TX, VA, WA, or WY
