📋 Description

• Lead the strategy, prioritization, and delivery of infrastructure products and services supporting VA.gov • Own and maintain the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and backlog for VA.gov Platform Infrastructure Services • Establish clear product goals and measurable outcomes for infrastructure reliability, scalability, security, performance, and developer experience • Develop a deep understanding of infrastructure products and services used by VA.gov engineering teams • Translate engineering needs, operational risks, user research, Platform strategy, and government priorities into actionable product initiatives • Balance investments across new capabilities, modernization, reliability, technical debt, security, operational improvements, and developer experience • Identify dependencies and sequencing across major infrastructure initiatives • Communicate Infrastructure Services priorities and roadmap decisions to Platform leadership, engineering teams, and government stakeholders • Treat cloud infrastructure, deployment environments, shared services, and infrastructure tooling as products used by VA.gov engineering teams • Build strong relationships with government stakeholders, engineering leadership, Platform teams, and teams building on VA.gov

🎯 Requirements

• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident required • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance • Bachelor’s Degree • 10 years’ experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner for technical products, cloud infrastructure, developer platforms, enterprise software, or internal engineering services • Strong product management skills including strategy, roadmap development, prioritization, backlog management, and Agile delivery • Demonstrated ability to work closely with infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or software engineering teams • Technical fluency with cloud infrastructure and modern software delivery concepts • Understanding of cloud computing, containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD, networking, environments, observability, and production operations • Experience translating complex technical initiatives into clear product outcomes and priorities • Experience using operational metrics, user feedback, and qualitative and quantitative data to inform product decisions • Experience defining KPIs and measuring product outcomes • Reliable internet service that allows for effective telecommuting • Standard business hours are Monday through Friday; occasional extended or weekend hours may be required based on operational needs
