📋 Description

• Serve as a key interface between the sales team, Marketing, and end-users • Provide expert-level support for SPT Labtech’s liquid handling product suite • Organize and run product demonstrations on all SPT Labtech liquid handlers • Maintain high-level operational knowledge of liquid handling products • Maintain subject matter expertise in relevant application areas • Support Field Application Scientist and Territory Management teams with subject matter expertise • Arrange and provide applications-based training to new and existing users of SPT Labtech and Apricot liquid handling instruments • Provide ongoing remote and in-person applications support to end-users • Develop, modify, and enhance advanced liquid handling and automation protocols to optimize client operations • Contribute to conference strategy and attend conferences • Maintain Salesforce recordkeeping • Create and deliver customer-driven application notes, webinars, conference presentations, and posters • Participate in strategic collaborations to deliver scientific content for marketing • Collect customer feedback for product development and software teams • Maintain positive customer relationships • Mentor and provide guidance to Associate Field Application Scientists as needed • Travel throughout the Southwest USA, with occasional travel to the East USA and UK headquarters • Collaborate with colleagues across multiple time zones and territories

🎯 Requirements

• MSc with at least five years’ practical experience, or a PhD with at least two years’ practical experience, in a Biological Science discipline, liquid handling, laboratory automation, or related field in an industry or academic environment • Working knowledge of NGS methods used in research • Experience using liquid handling and automation preferable; HTS, assay development, molecular biology, or structural biology backgrounds considered • Experience with workflow optimization in genomics, drug discovery, and structural biology • Good understanding of genomics, drug discovery, and structural biology • Practical experience with genomics/molecular biology desirable • Ability and willingness to travel extensively, up to 75%, including internationally • Excellent organizational, analytical, troubleshooting, record-keeping, and communication skills • Professional demeanour • Previous experience in field applications, teaching, marketing, or customer service a plus • Leadership ability with a demonstrated record of mentorship • Ability to work efficiently independently and within a team structure • Ability to work toward corporate goals • Excellent presentation and training skills • Up-to-date Resume required
