• Support business strategies by eliciting requirements and business needs from cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders • Lead business analysts and guide their day-to-day activities • Define solutions, provide training to business users, and act as a sprint manager • Mentor junior team members on business analyst and sprint best practices • Ensure documentation and process standards meet industry best practices • Provide business process mapping and define requirements for prioritization and execution • Lead request intake management and represent requests to management prioritization groups for resource alignment • Establish projects and sprints and provide status updates to management and executive leadership • Develop specifications for projects and ad hoc requests • Interpret data, identify trends, establish or use benchmarks, and create data visualizations • Present clear, concise, useful information to customers and senior leadership • Translate customer requirements into project descriptions, analytic and data specifications, and timelines • Produce analytic executive summaries • Prepare sprint cycles and sprint stories and participate in sprint planning • Lead or participate in work prioritization sessions • Influence department strategy and own strategic projects autonomously • Coach and develop talent and lead junior talent on business-critical initiatives • Present politically sensitive information to executives across multiple entities • Apply understanding of insurance, managed care, health care delivery, and financial accounting to support business decisions • Support system-wide analytics and reporting activities • Perform other duties as assigned
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience • Ten years' experience • Advanced Excel skills • Advanced PowerPoint skills • Ability to translate complex business elements into easy-to-understand communication • Facilitation and requirements elicitation skills • Business process mapping and requirements definition • Data interpretation, trend identification, benchmarking, and data visualization • Analytic techniques supporting business users • Project descriptions, analytic and data specifications, and project timeline development • Sprint planning, sprint cycles, and sprint stories • Understanding of insurance and managed care, health care delivery, and financial accounting • Understanding of organizational operations, capabilities, goals, and strategies • Ability to meet physical requirements including frequent keyboard use/data entry and occasional lifting of 25–50 lbs.
