📋 Description

• Support innovation initiatives • Maintain and update company design standards • Direct, coordinate, and oversee project-specific design activities for cost-effective and energy-efficient data center facilities • Act as the subject matter expert on concurrently maintainable electrical power systems for data centers • Support the Director of Electrical Engineering and the Innovation and Engineering team • Oversee preparation and final approval of project contract documents produced by third-party design consultants • Ensure project designs are completed on schedule and within budget • Supply engineering expertise and guidance on projects, operations, and systems within existing facilities • Develop and maintain equipment specifications for owner-furnished and contractor-installed equipment and systems • Support procurement through vendor submittal reviews, approvals, and factory witness testing • Maintain and update legacy basis-of-design documents • Assist in developing new basis-of-design documents for emerging business needs • Identify, recommend, and implement technologies and systems to maximize data center energy and cost efficiency • Communicate and implement engineering and design policies, practices, standards, and security measures • Maintain knowledge of emerging engineering and design technologies and trends • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering • Minimum of 7 years' experience in the design of data centers and specification of electrical equipment for mission critical facilities • Expertise in diesel engine standby generators • Expertise in uninterruptable power supplies • Full understanding of how to design a concurrently maintainable facility • Engineering in Training (EIT) certification desired with progress towards Professional Engineer (PE) licensure • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint • Baseline proficiency of AutoCAD, Bluebeam and Adobe Acrobat • Must be eligible to work in the United States • Must pass comprehensive background screening • Domestic travel required up to 30%
