📋 Description

• Work independently as a major contributor on the professional Architecture team • Assist clients through the planning and creation of fiscally responsible, award-winning designs • Develop innovative and creative prototype or unique concepts using sustainable products and green architecture principles • Lead development of integrated design proposals • Continuously update building information models • Prepare drawings and other project outputs • Lead and mentor others and collaborate with team members on final deliverables under the Project Leader’s instruction • Manage multiple projects of varied complexity • Develop designs through sketches, modeling, diagrams, and massing studies • Use BIM technologies to develop project models and complete construction documents • Perform architectural design assignments across conventional project phases • Inspect buildings and structures for compliance with building codes and standards • Assess existing building components based on age, functionality, appearance, and operating conditions • Participate in design critiques and pin-ups • Interpret and apply building codes and regulatory requirements • Prepare and revise site plans, floor plans, elevations, sections, and details • Review shop drawings and submittals, respond to RFIs, prepare site observation reports, and perform contract administration tasks • Lead project coordination and meetings with internal teams, external consultants, owners, contractors, and subcontractors • Assist with project specifications and coordinate specifications with construction documents • Participate in constructability reviews • Conduct project quality assurance and quality control, including reviewing reports, plans, estimates, and calculations

🎯 Requirements

• Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) software, particularly Autodesk Revit, with expertise in architectural modeling and detailing • Proficiency with 3D modeling and rendering tools such as Rhino and SketchUp is a plus • Strong oral and written communication skills for client presentations and team coordination • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally • Knowledge, interpretation, and application of building codes and NFPA standards • Familiarity with Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) is preferred • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple projects at once • Collaboration skills to work effectively with multi-disciplinary teams • Problem-solving and analytical skills to address complex design and construction challenges • Ability to hand sketch and/or communicate concepts and ideas to others effectively is a plus • Ability to participate and collaborate in a project team setting through all phases of architectural document production • Ability to receive criticism and respond appropriately and professionally • Knowledge and application of accessibility codes and applicable building codes • Strong understanding of all phases of architectural document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications • Strong knowledge of building construction systems, means and methods, materials, and industry standards • Ability to conduct space planning, block planning, and adjacencies in coordination with the building program • Ability to check the work of others for accuracy and completeness • Ability to communicate abstract ideas verbally and in writing • Strong presentation and interview skills • Valid driver’s license with good driving record • Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree in Architecture • 5 to 7 years of similar experience • Registered Architect (RA/AIA/NCARB) Licensure is REQUIRED for consideration • LEED Green Associate or LEED AP is preferred
