📋 Description

• Work on Mission Critical Data Center and major commercial projects across the country • Perform civil design and technical tasks under the supervision of the Project Manager or Lead Engineer • Conduct site design and layout, code review, planning and land use entitlement, AHJ coordination, grading, drainage, utility, erosion and sediment control design, specifications, and project details • Evaluate, select, specify, and engineer civil engineered systems and products • Develop designs through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats • Develop three-dimensional models of civil systems and provide markups for junior engineers/designers • Prepare and revise site plans, grading plans, utility plans, diagrams, and details • Lead project coordination meetings with internal teams, external consultants, owners, contractors, subcontractors, and vendors • Participate in client requirement meetings, value analysis, and basic cost estimating • Assist senior engineers/designers with project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule management • Prepare and coordinate project specifications with construction documents • Perform and oversee calculations using company-standard and proprietary manufacturer software • Participate in constructability reviews • Conduct quality assurance and quality control on projects • Assist in developing new standards and specifications for the civil group • Perform field observations and assist in coordinating and managing construction activities • Work on multiple projects

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering • Licensed Professional Engineer or the ability to obtain within 6 months of employment • Minimum of 5 years of experience • Requisite knowledge and application of National Civil Code and applicable energy codes • General understanding of all phases of project document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications • Strong knowledge of civil systems, means and methods, materials, and industry standards • Ability to effectively discuss project issues with clients and reviewing agencies • Excellent time-management skills • Understanding of task assignment and schedule, budgeting, and efficient use of time and resources • Ability to check the work of others for accuracy and completeness and manage time to meet project budget and schedule • Ability to participate and collaborate in a project team setting and engage in creative and critical thought • Thorough understanding of civil engineering concepts • Advanced oral and written communication skills • Effective communication and ability to work on and lead teams • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant design software, including potentially AutoCAD Civil3D, GIS, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, StormCAD, WaterCAD, and HydroCAD • Presentation and interview skills are preferred
