📋 Description

• Lead delivery and project management of electrical transmission routing and substation siting projects • Provide project management and serve as a routing and siting or environmental permitting subject matter expert • Supervise and mentor staff • Support business development opportunities • Write proposals and reports • Develop plans and implement steps to move projects toward closure cost-effectively • Manage tasks and projects according to approved scopes of work • Deliver quality reports on schedule and within budget • Manage and lead routing and siting studies for linear energy projects • Lead business development activities, including proposals, pre-qualifications, and relationship building • Interact with clients and environmental regulators • Prepare contract documents • Participate in Health, Safety and Environment policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines • Provide supervision, training, technical direction, and mentoring to junior staff • Execute technical tasks or requirements for medium to large projects • Conduct peer reviews of colleagues’ work • Plan and conduct broad-scope assignments and projects involving independent accomplishment and coordination of difficult tasks

🎯 Requirements

• Experience successfully executing technical aspects of medium to complex routing and siting projects is desirable • Advanced skills in technical writing • Understanding of Geographic Information System (GIS) processes and capabilities; prior GIS experience is desirable, but current GIS expertise is not necessary • Skilled in communication and technical information exchange with clients, engineers, scientists, government regulators and agencies, and the public • Disciplined approach to project execution and technical excellence • Ability to provide written and verbal direction on project delivery • Leadership in continuously improving technical performance • Ability to build and maintain productive professional and personal networking relationships • Proficiency in and consistent demonstration and promotion of HSSE policies and procedures, including client-specific training if applicable • Good driving record and valid driver’s license required • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, planning, engineering, or related field • 8+ years in related industry experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
