📋 Description

• Conduct on-site inspections and assessments of residential and commercial property damage • Serve as the first point of contact with insureds • Explain coverage, estimate damages, and guide policyholders through the claims process • Collaborate with policyholders, insurance agents, and other involved parties • Interact professionally with parties expressing strong emotions or concerns • Provide customer service and address inquiries and concerns • Gather evidence, document findings, and prepare detailed reports • Investigate and adjust personal and commercial property claims with exposures up to $500,000 • Evaluate coverage and policy terms for claim validity and regulatory compliance • Negotiate and settle claims within authorized limits • Work remotely from home using a mobile office/vehicle for field appointments • Service the assigned Corona/Orange County/Riverside territory and occasionally assist other territories

🎯 Requirements

• Ability to investigate problems, evaluate information, and make well-supported decisions • Ability to interpret detailed policies, guidelines, or technical information and apply them accurately • Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar concepts, processes, and terminology • Ability to interact effectively with policyholders, agents, and other stakeholders • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for difficult or emotional conversations • Strong organizational and analytical skills • Proficiency with mobile and desktop tools for documenting and supporting claims • Physical ability to walk, bend, reach, kneel, squat, stoop, lift, carry, unfold, climb ladders, traverse roofs using appropriate safety equipment, and crawl in tight spaces • May be required to complete Rope and Harness Safety Training • Valid driver’s license required; Motor Vehicle Record check required • Employees must successfully complete required training, applicable proficiency and licensing exams, MVR checks, and background checks • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field such as Risk Management, Insurance, Business, Construction Management, or similar discipline preferred • Customer service experience preferred • Understanding of property insurance concepts preferred • Baseline knowledge of residential and commercial building construction and components/materials preferred • Familiarity with water mitigation principles and inspection processes preferred • Working knowledge of Xactimate and XactContents preferred • Ability and willingness to work flexible schedules, overtime, and irregular hours
