📋 Description

• Conduct on-site inspections and assessments of residential and commercial property damage • Meet insureds as the first point of contact, explain coverage, estimate damages, and guide them through the claims process • Collaborate with policyholders, insurance agents, and other involved parties to gather information and resolve claims • Handle interactions with parties expressing strong emotions or concerns • Provide exceptional customer service and address inquiries and concerns • Gather evidence, document findings, and prepare detailed reports • Investigate and adjust personal and commercial property claims with exposures up to $500,000 • Evaluate coverage and policy terms for claim validity and regulatory compliance • Negotiate and settle claims within authorized limits • Work from home and use a mobile office/vehicle for field appointments • Occasionally travel outside the assigned territory to assist other territories

🎯 Requirements

• Ability to investigate problems, evaluate information, and make well-supported decisions • Ability to interpret detailed policies, guidelines, or technical information and apply them accurately • Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar concepts, processes, and terminology • Ability to interact effectively with policyholders, agents, and stakeholders • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for difficult or emotional conversations • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills • Proficiency using mobile and desktop tools to document and support claims • Physical ability to walk, bend, reach, kneel, squat, stoop, lift, carry, unfold, climb ladders, traverse roofs, and crawl in tight spaces • May be required to complete Rope and Harness Safety Training • Valid driver's license required • Ability and willingness to work flexible schedules, overtime, and irregular hours • Bachelor's Degree in a related field is preferred • Customer service experience is preferred • Understanding of property insurance concepts is preferred • Baseline knowledge of residential and commercial building construction is preferred • Familiarity with water mitigation principles and inspection processes is preferred • Working knowledge of Xactimate and XactContents is preferred • Successful completion of required training, applicable proficiency and licensing exams, MVR checks, and background checks
