📋 Description

• Conduct on-site inspections and assessments of residential and commercial property damages • Meet with insureds as the first point of contact • Explain coverage and estimate damages • Help policyholders through the claims process while providing Remarkable service • Collaborate with policyholders, insurance agents, and other involved parties • Gather evidence and document findings • Prepare detailed reports supporting claims handling • Investigate and adjust personal and commercial property claims with exposures up to $500,000 • Evaluate coverage and policy terms for claim validity and regulatory compliance • Negotiate and settle claims within authorized limits • Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally • Travel outside the assigned area when needed to assist other territories • Work from home using a mobile office/vehicle for in-person appointments and complete virtual work

🎯 Requirements

• Ability to investigate problems, evaluate information, and make well-supported decisions • Ability to interpret detailed policies, guidelines, or technical information and apply them accurately • Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar concepts, processes, and terminology • Ability to effectively interact with policyholders, agents, and other stakeholders • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for difficult or emotional conversations • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills • Proficiency using mobile/desktop tools to document and support claims in the field and remotely • Physical agility for walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting, stooping, lifting, carrying, unfolding, climbing ladders, traversing roofs, and crawling in tight spaces • May be required to complete Rope and Harness Safety Training • Valid driver’s license required • Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check required • Successful completion of required training, proficiency requirements, licensing exams, MVR checks, and background checks • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field such as Risk Management, Insurance, Business, Construction Management or a similar discipline (preferred) • Customer service experience (preferred) • Understanding of property insurance concepts and general claim handling practices (preferred) • Baseline knowledge of residential and commercial building construction and materials (preferred) • Familiarity with water mitigation principles and inspection processes (preferred) • Working knowledge of Xactimate and XactContents (preferred) • Ability and willingness to work flexible schedules, overtime, and irregular hours
