📋 Description

• Handle accident- and weather-related claims for homeowners, commercial properties, and large losses • Serve as the first point of contact with insureds • Explain coverage and estimate damages • Guide policyholders through the claims process while providing Remarkable service • Conduct on-site inspections and assessments of residential and commercial property damages • Collaborate with policyholders, insurance agents, and other involved parties • Interact with parties who express strong emotions or concerns about inspections or claim resolutions • Provide customer service and address inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally • Gather evidence, document findings, and prepare detailed reports • Investigate and adjust personal and commercial property claims with exposures up to $500,000 • Evaluate coverage and policy terms for claim validity and regulatory compliance • Negotiate and settle claims within authorized limits, policy provisions, industry standards, and company guidelines • Work from home and use a mobile office/vehicle for in-person appointments • Complete virtual work from home as needed • Travel outside the assigned area to assist other territories when required • Work flexible schedules and potentially overtime or irregular hours

🎯 Requirements

• Experienced and highly skilled professional • Ability to investigate problems, evaluate information, and make well-supported decisions • Ability to interpret detailed policies, guidelines, or technical information and apply them accurately • Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar concepts, processes, and terminology • Ability to interact effectively with policyholders, agents, and stakeholders • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for difficult or emotional conversations • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills • Proficiency using mobile/desktop tools to document and support claims in the field and remotely • Physical agility for walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting, stooping, lifting, carrying, unfolding, and climbing ladders • Ability to use appropriate equipment to traverse roofs at various heights and pitches • Ability to crawl in tight spaces • May be required to complete Rope and Harness Safety Training • Valid driver's license required • Employees must successfully complete required training, applicable proficiency and licensing exams, MVR checks, and background checks • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in a related field such as Risk Management, Insurance, Business, Construction Management, or similar • Preferred: Customer service experience • Preferred: Understanding of property insurance concepts, coverage fundamentals, and general claim handling practices • Preferred: Baseline knowledge of residential and commercial building construction and materials • Preferred: Familiarity with water mitigation principles and inspection processes • Preferred: Working knowledge of Xactimate and XactContents
