📋 Description

• Conduct on-site inspections and assessments of residential and commercial property damages • Meet with insureds as the first point of contact • Explain coverage and estimate damages • Help policyholders through the claims process while providing Remarkable service • Collaborate with policyholders, insurance agents, and other involved parties • Gather information and resolve claims efficiently • Interact with parties who may express strong emotions or concerns • Provide exceptional customer service and address inquiries and concerns • Gather evidence, document findings, and prepare detailed reports • Investigate and adjust personal and commercial property claims with exposures up to $500,000 • Evaluate coverage and policy terms for claim validity and regulatory compliance • Negotiate and settle claims within authorized limits • Work primarily in the field from a home-based mobile office/vehicle • Complete virtual work from home • Travel outside the assigned area when assisting other territories

🎯 Requirements

• Ability to investigate problems, evaluate information, and make well-supported decisions • Ability to interpret detailed policies, guidelines, or technical information and apply them accurately • Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar concepts, processes, and terminology • Ability to interact effectively with policyholders, agents, and other stakeholders • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for difficult or emotional conversations • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills • Proficiency using mobile/desktop tools to document and support claims in the field and remotely • Physical ability to walk, bend, reach, kneel, squat, stoop, lift, carry, unfold, and climb ladders • Ability to use appropriate equipment to traverse roofs at various heights and pitches • Ability to crawl in tight spaces • May be required to complete Rope and Harness Safety Training • Valid driver's license required • Successful completion of required training, applicable proficiency and licensing exams, MVR checks, and background checks • Bachelor's Degree in a related field such as Risk Management, Insurance, Business, Construction Management, or similar discipline preferred • Customer service experience preferred • Understanding of property insurance concepts preferred • Baseline knowledge of residential and commercial building construction and components/materials preferred • Familiarity with water mitigation principles and inspection processes preferred • Working knowledge of Xactimate and XactContents preferred • Must reside within one of the listed eligible zip codes and service the same territory • Ability and willingness to work flexible schedules, overtime, and/or irregular hours
